After many years as an OB-GYN, I retired from a career in medicine, but I didn’t retire from my passion for supporting families during one of the most beautiful and challenging times of their lives. In 2023, I became a doula, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
My journey into this new role has been deeply fulfilling. For over a year, I’ve had the privilege of working with a family of premature twins, walking alongside them through their unique challenges. It’s been an incredible experience that has only deepened my love for this work and my commitment to helping families.
Why did I choose to become a doula? Simply put, it’s because it’s a career where I get to focus on what truly matters: supporting families, loving on babies, and offering a calm, nurturing presence without the pressure of giving medical advice. I can take my time, truly connect with the families, and ensure they feel empowered and cared for.
I’m excited to continue this new chapter, bringing my years of experience and a heart full of compassion to families in need of guidance and support. I truly believe there’s nothing more rewarding than helping families welcome their little ones into the world with love and confidence.
